State Transportation Program

The Missouri Department of Transportation recently released its Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, as approved by Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission.

This 2014 program lists all transportation projects planned by state, metropolitan and regional planning agencies for a five-year period. Spokesperson for MoDOT, Melissa Black, says the Northwest Missouri Region will see benefits from this $152 million program.

Black says the focus of these projects is improving bridges and resurfacing several roadways, as well as maintaining the existing roads. There are some projects that will be bigger than others.
