Northwest Music Student Selected

A senior music education major at Northwest Missouri State University has been selected to a national flute choir.

Amanda Mather has been chosen for the National Flute Association Collegiate Flute Choir and will perform with the ensemble in New Orleans on August 8th through the 11th. Mather, of Kearney, was one of 22 students accepted for the choir from universities and conservatories across the United States and Canada. Applicants were selected based on a blind review of recordings. Mather becomes the second Northwest student in three years to be selected for the N-F-A choir.
