Interim Agriculture Committee

An area state representative has been appointed as chair to an interim committee on Emerging Issues in the Agriculture Industry created by Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones.

Casey Guernsey is a Republican from Bethany, and says the committee is mostly focusing on Missouri's Dairy Industry, which has been declining due to the impact of last year's drought.

Guernsey says the committee will also discuss any other issues that may be relevant to promoting the long-term prosperity of the agriculture industry.
