Area Crop Outlook

With July coming to an end, local farmers are hoping for more rain.

Recent drought conditions are starting to effect area crops and according to University of Missouri Extension Agronomy Specialist, Wayne Flanary, late planted corn is suffering the worst.

Flanary says that because soybeans are still going through the growing stage, rains in August will determine their outlook.
