The Page County Public Health department is working to make your workplace healthier.

Administrator of Page County Public Health, Kim Livengood says her office has developed a new program to help businesses encourage their employees to be healthy. The first week of each month, Livengood hopes businesses will help promote each day's theme. June is the first month for the program. Today's theme is Meditation Monday, designed to reduce stress at work. Tomorrow is Try it Tuesday, encouraging employees to try a new fruit or vegetable according to Livengood.

Livengood says the workplace is one of the more challenging areas to incorporate good health habits. She hopes this new program helps make developing healthy habits fun.

Livengood hopes as the program grows, businesses will begin to contribute their own ideas and give incentives to employees for participating.
