Macon Departure Ceremony

Local soldiers of the Macon-based 14-38th Engineer Company will depart later this month for a year-long deployment to southern Afghanistan.

In support of the soldiers, a departure ceremony will be held at Macon High School June 15th. Public Affairs Officer for the Missouri National Guard, Major Tammy Spicer, says this ceremony is a symbol of support from the community.
