Livingston Lightning Rod

The Livingston County Sheriff's department recently received information about a possible sales scam.

According to a concerned citizen, a traveling salesman has been going door-to-door offering "Lightning Rods and Installation". A lack of identification on the salesman's vehicle is raising suspicion in the area. Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox is cautioning residents about doing business with anyone they are unfamiliar with.

Cox says there is no further information on who the salesman might be and whether the lightning rod and installation business is legitimate. According to Sheriff Cox, if the business is a scam, the offender could face potential felony violations and a prison sentence.
