Two point three-eight percent to be exact. The Board of Prisoners Budget currently stands at 38.29% whereas last year at this time it was at 41.67%. Cox also says, saving money was not the only benefit coming from closing the jail.

According to Cox, the Sheriffs Office is getting a lot of positive feedback from the community about how frequent officers are seen and their response time to complaints.
