HeaBarton Farm Improvements

A grant has been approved with the Missouri Department of Conservation and plans are underway for the development of the Hoffman-Robbins Conservation area at the North-Central College - Barton Farm campus near Trenton.

Barton Farm Manager, Rustin Jumps, says the current pond will undergo a number of changes.

Along with the changes being made to the two acre pond, the new conservation area will also include parking lots along the west side of the pond. Jumps adds he hopes the new area will be more friendly for many groups of people.

75 percent of the costs for the improvements comes from the MDC and their Community Assistance Program. The improvements to the Barton Farm Campus are expected to be complete by the time classes resumes in August.
