Thomson on Education Budget

The Missouri General Assembly last week approved and sent to Governor Jay Nixon the fiscal year 2014 operating budget.

According to State Representative Mike Thomson of Maryville the nearly 24 billion dollar budget calls for a three percent increase for higher education institutions.

Thomson also says elementary and secondary education sees a slight increase in funding.
