The Missouri General Assembly legislative session came to a close on Friday.
Several bills were debated until the last day before being approved by both the House and Senate. State Representative Mike Thomson of Maryville says one of those, was a bill he sponsored dealing with retirement benefits for teachers.
Another bill Thomson sponsored concerned enforcement of traffic violations on college campuses in Missouri. Thomson says the bill will allow University Police enforcement power when stopping vehicles.
Thomson says he worked with State Senator Brad Lager of Savannah in getting both legislative bodies to approve the measure.
