Silver Hair Elections

Northwest Missouri Senior Citizens are urged to go to their local senior centers to vote tomorrow.

Residents who are at least 60 years of age can go to the polls and elect the board of directors for the Northwest Missouri Area Agency on Aging, as well as members of the Silver Haired Legislature. The Board and Silver Haired Legislature speak for seniors in 18 northwest Missouri counties. Executive Director of Northwest Missouri Area Agency on Aging Becky Flaherty says the Agency is one of many that provides services to fulfill the needs of the elderly.

Flaherty says that the Silver Haired Legislature works with needs as well as legislation that could benefit senior citizens.

Again, the election day for board and legislature members is tomorrow from 8am to 2pm at local senior center's in the region.
