Severe Weather to continue

The thunderstorms which spread across three states beginning over the memorial day weekend have continued throughout this week.

Warning Coordination Meteorologist of the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill Andy Bailey says the total accumulation of rainfall has produced flooding across the region.

A stormy pattern has set up as the region will continue to see a chance for severe weather through Saturday. Bailey says the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms for this afternoon and evening for western and central Kansas, moving into Missouri.

Bailey says tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds are possible.
