A contract for 1.7 million dollars has been awarded to Strait-Line Construction USA incorporated to begin a roadwork project in Albany, Missouri.
The project includes grading, drainage work, and paving on Route 85 from just north of U.S Business Highway 136 to the Town Branch bridge. The project will also include a thin lift overlay from U.S Highway 136 west to U.S Highway 136 north. Work is now scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 22nd and a signed detour will direct motorists over city streets. The closure of Route 85 will extend into August while U.S Business Highway 136 will have one lane open at all times during the project.
