A special session of the Iowa legislature may not be needed after all since Iowa Governor Terry Branstad says he might be open to expanding Medicaid if the federal government will keep it's word to pay the majority of the additional cost.
AARP Iowa spokesperson Anthony Carroll thinks this might just be what is needed top break the stalemate over expanding Medicaid to cover more low income residents. He says since deadlines are approaching, decisions must be made soon.
