May is Motorcycle Awareness Month and the Missouri State Highway Patrol wants both motorcyclist and other drivers to stay safe.
Sergeant Sheldon Lyon says with the warm weather, more motorcycles will be on the roadways.
Lyon says it's important for motorcyclists to be as visible as possible.
Lyon adds motorcyclists should wear appropriate equipment such as helmets, gloves and boots, so in the event of an accident, the chances of them surviving without serious injury is higher.
