Motorists in northwest Missouri will begin to notice smoother roads, and summer road construction.
Thanks to the Missouri Department of Transportation's community initiative Pothole Patrol, MODoT was able to fill more than 40,000 potholes in the northwest Missouri region, adding to the more than 130,000 potholes filled statewide. MODoT Customer Service Specialist Marcia Johnson says they are now working on a new summer initiative.
Johnson says travelers need to be watch of construction crews on the highway.
