Traffic congestion in Maryville at the intersection of Main and South Avenue was discussed during this week's Maryville City Council meeting.
City Manager Greg McDanel says city officials are looking into a newer method of controlling the traffic lights at the intersection. McDanel says a system using radar could improve the flow of vehicles through the intersection.
McDanel anticipates an upgrade for the traffic lights at Main and South Avenue to be addressed in the Fiscal Year 2014 budget which will begin October 1st.
