Livingston County Arrest

A Jamesport man has been arrested and charged for his involvement in a scam in Livingston County.

According to the Chillicothe Police Department, Jeremy R. Brannon approached a woman impersonating a deputy Sheriff.

Brannon allegedly convinced the victim to give him $1,400 dollars to assist with an investigation. According to Chillicothe Police Captain Tony Kirkendoll, a 911 call from a neighbor alerted police to the situation.

The investigation is still on-going. Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox isn't taking the impersonation of one of his deputies lightly

Brannon is currently being held at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail on $25,000 bond. He has no prior record for scams.
