The St. Joseph Museum will give patrons the opportunity to travel across the region visiting historic sites in July.
The trip begins July 10th and runs through the 12th. The tour includes lunch in the dining car of the Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad Excursion Train, followed by a tour of the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. Patrons will also visit the Hall of Space Museum and Cosmosphere in Wichita before dropping 650 feet below the earths surface to the 275 million-year-old salt mine. The last day of the trip features a driving tour of the Cottonwood Falls Courthouse and the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. St. Joseph Museums Kathy Reno says the idea for this trip came from a unique source.
Reno says anyone wanting more information can visit www.st-joe-museum.org.
