Empty Bowls

A fundraiser to help stop hunger will be held in St. Joseph on June 11th. The "Empty Bowls" event, put on by the Hunger Coalition, is in its 9th year and has made a huge contribution in making sure everyone in Northwest Missouri gets a meal seven days a week. Director of resource development and public relations for Inter-Serve, Brett King, says the proceeds for this event are used to obtain more food.
