A three vehicle accident due to winter weather road conditions yesterday in Davies County leaves a man seriously injured.
Seventy-nine year old Donald Lawler of Cheyenne, Wyoming was traveling southbound on I-35, three miles from Pattonsburg last night when he lost control of his vehicle on a slush-covered roadway. After striking a bridge rail, Lawler's vehicle traveled back into the roadway and came to rest. It was then struck by a southbound vehicle driven by 31-year-old Shane R Meyer of Everly, Iowa. Lawler's vehicle then slid into the path of a southbound Freightliner driven by 72-year-old Arthur C. Brown of Copperas Cove, Texas. Lawler suffered serious injuries and was taken by NTA to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Seventy-nine-year old Nancy A. Lawler was a passenger and suffered moderate injuries. She was transported by Davies County ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital. Others involved in the accident were not injured. All were wearing seatbelts.
