Christmas in the Summertime

An annual giving tradition designed to help students K through 12 in Nodaway County is underway.

The "Christmas in the Summertime" project provides qualifying students with an entire new outfit of clothing for the new school year. The project is sponsored by Nodaway County Churches and is coordinated through Community Services of Nodaway County. Coordinator of the project...LeDonna McIntosh says anyone wanting to help out can obtain information about sponsoring a student through Community Services.

McIntosh says approximately 150 students in Nodaway County receive new clothes through the "Christmas in the Summertime" program each year. McIntosh says the application deadline applying for assistance is June 7th and anyone knowing of someone who may qualify should contact the Community Services of Nodaway County office in Maryville.
