Campus/Town Re-Development

Applications are now being accepted by the City of Maryville for the Campus Town Redevelopment Incentive Program.

The program is designed to encourage the demolition of sub-standard housing and the construction of new homes in neighborhoods just east of Northwest Missouri State University. The program offers property owners incentives like the elimination of tipping fees and waivers of permit fees associated with redevelopment. According to City Manager Greg McDanel, the amount a property owner can save is sizable.

The Campus Town overlay located primarily adjacent to Northwest Missouri State, is comprised mostly of rental properties occupied by Students. Through this program, the city would also benefit from redevelopment.
