Arrest in Mercer County Shooting

A 64 year old Marshall, Missouri man has been arrested in connection with the Friday shooting of 67 year old David Niemeyer of Mercer, Missouri.

According to a report from the Mercer County Sheriff's office. 64 year old Eugene William Pattie is charged with 1st Degree Attempted Murder, Armed Criminal Action, 1st Degree Felony Assault, Armed Criminal Action and Attempted Forcible Rape. The Mercer County Sheriff's report indicates Pattie shot Niemeyer...fled the scene of the shooting...going to Niemeyer's residence where Pattie was involved in an attempted forcible sexual assault on 59 year old Virginia Niemeyer of Mercer. Pattie is being held in the Mercer County Jail.
