Missouri Highway Patrol officials have announced a sobriety checkpoint and driving while intoxicated saturation event which will be held sometime in May.
The checkpoint will be held in DeKalb County and the saturation in Harrison County. The checkpoint is a static operation that is designed to check every drive to ensure they are sober. The saturation is a mobile operation in which troopers saturate a specific highway in an effort to arrest every intoxicated driver. Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, urges the public to report all impaired drivers by calling 800-525-5555.
