Rep. Thomson on House Budget

The Missouri House of Representatives approved a 24 billion dollar budget for the next fiscal year that has now been sent to the Missouri Senate.

Maryville State Representative Mike Thomson says this year's budget calls for an increase of 20 million dollars for Higher Education.

Thomson adds Elementary and Secondary Education's Foundation Formula received 65 million dollars in additional money which he says is the first significant increase in the last four years. The Missouri Senate will now review the budget before sending it on to the Governor.
