Medicare Scamboree

The Northwest Missouri Area Agency on Aging and Missouri S-M-P want to put a fun spin on Medicare fraud.

The Missouri S-M-P Scamboree will inform seniors on how to protect themselves from scam artists looking to steal their personal information. The Scamboree takes place at the Nodaway Senior Center Friday April 26th and will include presentations from Bank Midwest and Maryville Public Safety. Attendees will also have to opportunity to learn through games like "Are you smarter than a scammer?". Volunteer Coordinator Craig Silvey says Medicare recipients are frequent targets for fraud.
