MDC Fishing Days

The Missouri Department of Conservation will soon be offering special Fishing Days.

Kids Fishing Days are featured at numerous hatcheries around the state in April and May. These are designed to introduce families and youth groups to fishing habitats and techniques. Equipment and instruction is provided. This year's general Fishing Days are June 8th and 9th. Participants can fish in a large number of public fishing areas without a fishing permit, trout stamp, or trout park daily tag. Spokesperson for the Missouri Department of Conservation, Joe Jerek, says Fishing Days provide people with timeless enjoyment unique to the state.
