Maryville Sirens Change

Maryville residents may have noticed a change this week.

The weather sirens testing switched from Thursdays at noon to Wednesdays at 11am. Maryville Public Safety Director Keith Wood says the main reason for the change is to follow the region H siren protocol.

Wood says this is the start of the second storm season with the new sirens.

Wood also says in addition to the sirens, residents should also depend on other warning devices such as a NOAA weather radio or the textcaster warning system that is available by signing up at maryville.org.
