Maryville City Council meeting

The Maryville City Council met for their regular meeting last night.  

During the meeting, the Northwest Missouri State University Advanced Advertising Strategies class presented on the Mozingo Lake Recreation Park Rebranding and its success. Discussion during the meeting surrounded the conceptual design for the 4th Street improvement project. The council previously identified the 4th street corridor as an area needing improvement. City Manager Greg McDanel says the engineer on the project, SK Design group, discussed with the Council the potential concepts of the corridor.

McDanel also says, as a former student of Northwest, he noticed there was always something uninviting about the corridor.

Other discussion at last night's meeting included the 2013 Asphalt Overlay Project and Sunday liquor sales. Also, the public forum regarding the drinking age will be held tonight at 7pm at the Maryville Community Center.
