St. Joseph residents are invited to join employees of Johnson Controls as they prepare the Second Harvest Community Food Bank's garden for the planting season.
The garden is a low-cost, low-technology demonstration that teaches how to grow your own food using minimal resources. As a form of education to all community members, the garden uses techniques for chemical-free fruits and vegetables. Second Harvest Community Food Bank Public Relations Specialist, Aaron Smullin, says this is the first effort of its kind.
