Heartland Health in St. Joseph plans to end ambulance service in the coming year.

St Joseph City officials received notification last week that Heartland Health will stop running ambulances services effective July 1, 2014. St Joseph Public Information Officer Mary Robertson says that it is due in part because of federal changes to the healthcare system.
