Drought Conditions

The recent rains in the region may be beneficial for farmers in overcoming last year's drought. Northwest Missouri.

Associate Professor of Agriculture, Dr. Jamie Patton says the rain has done a lot to bring surface soil moisture up but subsoil is still dry.

Patton says if the region can continue to get a good amount of rain over the spring, subsoil moisture levels will improve dramatically.
