The District Court Office, located in the Atchison County, Kansas Courthouse in Atchison, received a phone call on April 12th, with the unknown male caller stating that another person, located in Colorado, had called him, stating there were two pipe bombs placed in the courthouse. Evacuation of employees and patrons ensued with search of the courthouse inside and around the perimeter with multiple agencies and Kansas Highway Patrol bomb sniffing dogs before an “all-clear” was given around three hours later with no threat discovered.
