Students from Indiana University and Texas A and M will be spending their spring break in St. Joseph this year.

The student volunteers will rebuild homes for families in need as part of the Habitat for Humanity national alternative spring break program, Collegiate Challenge. The program is in its 24th year. St. Joseph Habitat for Humanity volunteer coordinator Rita Boyer says the St. Joseph chapter is a favorite among college students.

Boyer says the university students will be in St. Joseph next week. They'll work alongside St. Joseph Habitat for Humanity staff and volunteers to begin construction of their 54th house. To track the progress of these two students groups you can visit habitatsaintjoe.org.
