St. Joe Clean Air

The St. Joseph City Council hopes to clear the air during a Clean Air Initiative meeting next week.

The work session will discuss the proposed draft ordinance addressing clean air in public St. Joseph locations and workplaces. The main issue that will be addressed involves smoking. Public Information Officer Mary Robertson says the public has spoken clearly with many provided opportunities.

Robertson adds if the City Council chooses to issue a ballot to the community, it must coincide with the nearest election in August. The Clean Air Initiative open session begins at 4:15pm next Wednesday, March 27th, in the Council Chamber at St. Joseph's City Hall.
