Maryville Board of Education Election Preview

Four Maryville residents are running for the two positions up for election in next week's Maryville Board of Education race.

One of the four is incumbent Shane Sims, who has been on the Board for seven years. Sims says he brings needed experience to the position.

Sims, a law enforcement officer, says education has always been important to him.

A candidate seeking his first term on the Maryville Board of Education is Rob Sparks. Sparks owns a local insurance agency and says he would bring a well-rounded background to the school board.
