Library Programs Focus on Children

The Rolling Hills Library in St. Joseph will offer several programs throughout the month of March focusing on children with special needs.

Two programs will be held by the Special Needs Planning Center of Kansas City tomorrow on special needs guardianship and financial planning. Monday March 11th, Amy Allyson of the Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City will present "Down Syndrome 101 for Parents and Professionals" from 6-8pm. Melody Prawitz (Prou-witz) will discuss how families and the public can get involved in Special Olympics on March 19th in a public informational meeting where a Special Olympics athlete will be in attendance. Rolling Hills Library Controller and Facilities Manager Patsey McGuire says all of the programs offered focus on inclusion.

According to the Rolling Hills Consolidated Library, Children- with or without disabilities- will be able to learn and have fun at the events in March.
