Lager on Higher Education

Missouri Republican State Sen. Brad Lager of Savannah, is advocating a bill tackling higher education funding.

Senator Lager says for several years, he has been concerned with the way higher education is funded in Missouri. He says Missouri has dozens of institutions of higher learning. Senator Lager says last year, he amended an education bill that forced the Joint Committee on Education to start working on a higher education funding formula.

Senator Lager also says the Legislature could lay out criteria they view as important. He says funding could be tied to how many college graduates find a job.
