Jonagan on Second Term

The Maryville City Council and Board of Education races were highlighted last night during the Maryville Citizens for Community Action Candidates Forum held at the City Hall Council Chambers.

Mayor Glenn Jonagan and Councilwoman Renee Reidel are running unopposed for the two positions up for election on Tuesday. Jonagan says a goal for his second term will be to construct a lodge at the Mozingo Lake Recreation Park. Jonagan says the lodge could generate revenue for the city.

Jonagan says a large meeting room at the lodge would also benefit the community. Maryville city officials are currently preparing to seek bids for the construction plans of the project. Councilwoman Reidel wasn't in attendance at last night's event. Tomorrow and Friday we will feature the Maryville Board of Education election during our newscasts.
