Highway Contracts Awarded

Two contracts for roadwork in Northwest Missouri have been awarded by the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Vance Brothers Incorporated won a bid for construction on Route 46 in Nodaway and Worth Counties from Highway 136 to Highway 169 in Grant City. That project totals over 412 thousand dollars In Gentry and Daviess counties, Herzog Contracting Corporation was awarded a just over $1 million dollar contract to improve Route Z from Highway 169 to Highway 69. MoDOT Customer Relations Manager Melissa Black says they listened to area residents who said the roads needed work.

Black says both projects will take place during MODOT's construction season this summer however, no start and end date has been set.
