Hatha Yoga Retreat

Northwest Missouri State University is to host the first Hatha Yoga retreat for people of all yoga experience levels.

The Retreat is sponsored by Northwest Personal Development and Counseling Serivces and Wellness Services. Seven Licensed yoga instructors- including Northwest employees Alicia Francis- Rhonda Lesley and Mike Mattock will run the all day retreat. The event is open to the public with no prior yoga experience necessary. Hatha Yoga focuses on the art of relaxation- balance- strength- and flexibility and recent studies have shown yoga can improve many mental and physical aspects of one's well being. The first Hatha Yoga retreat will be Saturday April 6th from 9 till 2 at The Station on the Northwest Campus. Proceeds from registration fees will go toward equipment to support yoga classes on the Northwest campus.
