Farmer Wins Five Grand

West Nodaway High School and West Nodaway Booster Club will be receiving a nice donation through Monsanto's America's Farmers Grow Communities program.

Every year, the organization gives the opportunity for farmers to win a $2,500 donation to be directed to their favorite non-profit in their community. This year, Ron Hagey of Burlington Junction was the winner, and due to the disaster declaration in Nodaway County by the USDA, he was able to make two donations. Hagey chose West Nodaway High School and the Booster Club to receive the donations sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. District Fields Manager for Asgrow and Dekalb, Megan Jennings, says this is a great program for farmers to be able to give back to their communities.
