Empty Bowls

The Northwest Missouri State University Clay Club is holding it's 5th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser this weekend.

The event is designed to raise awareness of hunger in Maryville and raises funds to help fight the problem. Organizer and Associate Professor of Art in Ceramics at Northwest, Laura Kukkee says at the event, guests may choose a bowl to be used for their soup supper. Guests also have the option of adding a cup to their dinner. Kukkee says all the bowls and cups are made by local artists.
