The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning beginning at midnight tonight and continuing through tomorrow.
The weather service expects 8 to 12 inches of snow accumulation from just south of St. Joseph through Bethany. South of there, from about Kansas City to Kirksville, forecasters expect 6 to 10 inches of snow and some sleet. Thundersnow and heavy snowfall amounts are possible in this storm. The worst of the storm is expected to move through the area during the morning commute through early afternoon tomorrow.
