St. Joseph Accident

Four Saint Joseph Teenagers are injured after their car went airborne Wednesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Madison King was driving a Scion (sigh-on) on County Road 70 two miles southeast of Saint Joseph. The car became airborne after cresting a hilltop and then landed in the opposing lane. After landing, the car skidded across the center line and off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment and overturned multiple times. King and two passengers, 17 year-old Nicholas Merritt and 17 year-old Ashlee Bland, suffered minor injuries. Seventeen-year-old Chandler Barger suffered moderate injuries. All four were wearing seatbelts and were taken by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center.
