Spoofhound Contest

The Maryville Spoofhound is in a tight race to be recognized as one of the best known high school mascots in the country.

The USA Today High school sports staff has chosen 255 mascots from around the country - five from each state and Washington D.C. The top mascot from each state will advance after an initial voting period that runs through March 5th. The second round of 51 mascots will be divided into six regions with regional voting from March 6th to March 14th. The finalists will compete from March 15th to 25th. According to Maryville Booster Club member, Tammy Thompson, word of the voting is spreading among students.
