Maryville Public Library Grant

The Maryville Public Library received a grant for it's summer reading program.

3,529 dollars from the Institute of Museum and Library Services will help the library bring in three paid performers this summer to supplement it's reading program. In the past, only one paid performer was brought in each summer using funds raised through various efforts. Library Director Stephanie Patterson says the more kids read the more prepared they will be for school.
