Governor Allocates Money to Northwest

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon was on the Northwest Missouri State campus Friday morning promoting plans to provide Missouri's colleges and universities with additional performance-based funding, which he says will expand opportunities for students.

For schools to become eligible for the additional funding they must meet five performance benchmarks...Student Retention and Progress...Graduation Rate and Degree Completion...Quality of Student Learning...Financial Responsibility and Efficiency and Institution-specific goals. Nixon announced Northwest has met all-five benchmarks.
